Wonder Woman Review: 10 Best Moments
1. No Man's Land
Without question the best action sequence in the entire movie takes place when Diana, Steve and co. travel to the Western Front, and she gets to see trench warfare up close for the first time.
Though Steve insists they can't save everyone, Diana refuses to simply wait, and in unquestionably the movie's most iconic moment, removes her robe and climbs out of the trench to do battle with the Germans.
It's really the single moment where Wonder Woman is truly born, using her shield to repel German gunfire while her allies fire upon them. Diana then launches a ferocious assault on the occupied Veld, cutting Germans down left and right before straight-up destroying a tower to do away with a pesky sniper.
It's a terrific sequence that ends with Diana having the iconic picture taken that previously surfaced in Batman v Superman, and props to Patty Jenkins for surely resisting the urge to have Diana quip that only a woman could navigate No Man's Land. Bravo.
