Intercut with the shots of German soldiers frankly trying to blow her to pieces, we get some slow-mo shots of Diana in her iconic costume ascending the trench steps that give us close-ups of the detail on her costume.
It looks beautiful and classic and there's clearly been no conscious attempt to explain the costume away with functional evolutions. There might be details that make the costume practical (like the design of her boots), but it remains true to the source.
