Wonder Woman Vs The Dark Knight: Which Is Better?

9. The Hero

Even though Christian Bale gives a much-lauded performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman, it's often said that his character ends up being much less interesting than the movie's villains, essentially playing second fiddle to not only The Joker but also Two-Face.

To be clear, Bale does fine work, but the character is much, much more compelling in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises, whereas his character here feels pushed to the periphery somewhat.

On the other hand, Wonder Woman does a fantastic job paying tribute to the statuesque comic book icon, and against a lot of fan skepticism, Gal Gadot delivers surely the definitive screen interpretation of the character to date. Fans get a strong, beautiful, confident female superhero with plenty of emotional complexity: what more could you want?

Winner: Diana takes this one, though it'd be a much harder question if she was compared to Batman in either of the other Nolan movies.
