Wonder Woman Vs The Dark Knight: Which Is Better?

8. The Villains

Heath Ledger proved with The Dark Knight's The Joker that a great performance in a comic book movie didn't need an asterisk next to it because came from a comic book movie, scoring Ledger a posthumous Best Supporting Actor Oscar. That's without even mentioning Aaron Eckhart's fantastically tortured work as the secondary villain, Harvey Dent aka Two-Face.

It's somewhat appropriate that Wonder Woman has been compared to the Marvel Cinematic Universe's output, considering it similarly has a bit of a villain problem. For starters, Danny Huston's General Ludendorff and Elena Anaya's Doctor Poison are disappointingly underdeveloped, but the final big bad, Ares (David Thewlis), is pretty much just an excuse to throw a ton of expensive CGI at the screen.

Winner: Ledger walks it and it's not even close. Are you at all surprised?
