Woody Allen: 5 Awesome Movies And 5 That Sucked

4. September

So bad they made it twice. A change of heart in the editing room made Allen decide to re-shoot the whole movie again with a different cast and seeing the results it€™s difficult to see why. Set in a summer house, the plot focuses on an interconnected group of individuals who all happen to be attracted to one another, focusing on betrayal and loneliness and stars Mia Farrow who is recovering after a suicide attempt. While seemingly trying to be a study in character, it doesn€™t achieve this, coming across more arrogant than its aim. Layered in meaning, it was an experiment that didn€™t pay off and simply lacks anything worthy of a great Allen movie. One for the collectors only.
