World War Z: 10 Reasons It's An Absolute Disaster

1. Predictable Ending

World War ZWARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE END OF WORLD WAR Z WILL FOLLOW. In the third act of World War Z, Gerry suggests an idea to hold off the zombie plague, to "disguise" the surviving humans by infecting them with a virus humans are already well-acquainted with, such as Meningitis or SARS. The logic is that the zombies only attack healthy hosts, and so illness will essentially render them "invisible" to the horde. This theory is accepted by the scientists situated in the WHO building of the film's climax, yet the question seems to be - who will volunteer to try? Of course, we all know it's going to be Gerry, but the film waits another 10 or so minutes before trundling out this point as though it's supposed to be a big surprise. Of course, it works, the zombies start getting killed off, and the film ends. It's just such a lazy, simple way to write the film to a conclusion... What are your expecting from World War Z?
