5. They're In Hiding...On Krakoa

At this point, the prospect of following the story of the X-Men as they hang out in Professor X's Westchester mansion with the Danger Room and Cerebro in the basement, and the X-Jet beneath the basketball court, just feels redundant. Fox's X-Men movies did all that, and the MCU's version definitely needs a fresh start.

In recent comics, the heroes have established a nation for themselves on the sentient island of Krakoa, and they use portals to travel across the globe. Charles Xavier, meanwhile, has found a way for the Children of the Atom to cheat death and is far more ruthless than he has been in the past.

That would all work perfectly in the MCU, and immediately established where they've been all this time. Just like Wonder Woman spent years in hiding with her fellow Amazons on Themyscira, Earth's mutants could have easily been keeping away from man on Krakoa, with Professor X building what many would no doubt perceive as an army, thereby explaining why humans
