X-Men: 10 Theories For How They Can Join The Marvel Cinematic Universe

6. Scarlet Witch Creates Them

That last point about the creation of a new world definitely makes sense considering the fact the Scarlet Witch is set to join Doctor Strange on his journey through the Marvel Multiverse. Her powers are off the charts, and the prevailing theory among fans is that she was always a mutant whose abilities were only activated by the Mind Stone.

The hero's mental breakdown is expected to be followed in the WandaVision TV series coming to Disney+, and just like her comic book counterpart once said "No More Mutants," perhaps the big screen version could activate the X-Gene in the MCU with a similar whisper?

It would be a simple and effective way to open the door to the emergence of the X-Men, and tying Scarlet Witch into their existence could set the stage for a lot of stories featuring the character moving forward. Heck, if it leads to a House of M adaptation (a world where mutants rule after Wanda is manipulated into creating a new reality), then that would be even better.
