X-Men: 8 Reasons Why The Last Stand Doesn’t Actually Suck
6. The Action Set-Pieces Outshine The Previous Two Films
People can claim that X-Men: The Last Stand lacked the script and the heart of previous X-Men movies, but do all comic book movies have to be particularly great in those areas? Of course, everyone enjoys a good narrative, but sometimes it's nice to have an easy ride, just sitting back to enjoy people beating the hell out of each other and showing their might. That's what you get in X-Men: The Last Stand - a crap-load of awesome action from start to finish, with an abundance of esoteric superpowers on show - and you really can't complain about a comic book movie that offers such things. From Wolverine battling Spike in the forest and the young Jean Grey showing off her powers to Professor X and Magneto for the first time, to Magneto lifting the Golden Gate Bridge and Phoenix tearing up Alcatraz telekinetically, the movie is a total blast.
