X-Men: 8 Reasons Why The Last Stand Doesn’t Actually Suck
3. The Genuinely Emotional Scenes
You'll hear a lot of criticism about this movie, due to the fact that it lacked the heart and emotion of previous X-instalments, but the fact is that it did actually have some very emotive, sad and beautiful scenes. While the action and special effects were certainly incredible, audiences were made to grieve the losses of the likes of Professor Xavier and Cyclops, they were meant to swoon at the majesty of Iceman's glacial creation, which enabled him and Kitty Pryde to ice skate, and they were made to feel warm inside thanks to what were some very sweet moments involving Leech, the face of the mutant cure. There's no doubting that X-Men: The Last Stand wasn't as well-written as its predecessors - because it absolutely wasn't - but anyone who thinks it completely lacked substance is undoubtedly terribly mistaken.
