X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Actors Who Should Play Gambit

1. Gaspard Ulliel

We finally made it to number one and some of you might be thinking "huh?" at this choice, but doesn't it just make perfect sense to actually cast a native French speaker for the role of Gambit? Why fake the accent when you can get the real deal? If you google image Ulliel, it should quickly become apparent that physically, he is Gambit. From the hairstyle and facial features to his physical build, Ulliel embodies Remy LeBeau in every way. Looks aren't enough though, so luckily, Ulliel has also proved himself in other ways too. While Hannibal Rising is often maligned as the worst film of the franchise, it showcased a darker side to the young actor which he would need to tap again in order to successfully play the role of Gambit. In terms of charisma, Ulliel shone in the anthology film Paris Je T'aime, despite only appearing for a few minutes and with minimal characterisation. Gaspard Ulliel has appeared in a few Hollywood films over the years, but he's more well known for his starring roles in French cinema and for his international work as a model. The young star has proved his acting ability in movies like A Very Long Engagement, so it's about time he finally crossed over and hit it big in the mainstream. X-Men: Apocalypse would be the perfect chance for Ulliel to become successful in Hollywood and the role is tailor made for him. So what do you think of these choices. If you agree or disagree with any of these selections, please let me know in the comments section below and any alternative suggestions would be great, too!
