X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Actors Who Should Play Gambit
8. Hugh Dancy
Hugh Dancy has worked steadily for years now, but has only become more prominent for his recent work in the TV show Hannibal, where he's gained critical acclaim for the role of Will Graham, the FBI profiler given the enviable task of catching serial killer Hannibal Lecter. English born Dancy may seem like a left-field choice, but think about it. We've had a Welsh Batman in Christian Bale, an English Spiderman in Andrew Garfield and an Australian Thor in Chris Hemsworth, so why not an English Gambit? It wouldn't be the first time that Marvel has made a risky casting choice that actually paid off and out of everyone on this list, Dancy is one of the forerunners in terms of sheer acting ability. Some may argue that Dancy hasn't played a role particularly similar to Gambit in the past, but he's an actor people! As long as he can get on board with the accent and perhaps gain a little bit of muscle, Dancy could potentially be a strong contender and a role like this would finally give him the big screen break he deserves.
