6. Josh Hartnett

Josh Hartnett used to have a lot of promise. Many pegged him as just another pretty boy after a number of teen roles brought him to prominence in Hollywood, but Hartnett's acting ability was underrated. Unfortunately, a number of appearances in sub-par films like Pearl Harbor set back any of his attempts to break out into more mature lead roles. Since the early 2000's, Hartnett has faded out of the public eye, but is set to return this year as the lead in an upcoming horror TV show produced by Sam Mendes. Whether this will prove successful is debatable, yet this sounds like a perfect example of the darker roles Hartnett should have always embraced. Similarly, anti-hero Gambit would be a perfect fit for Hartnett's intensity and good looks. It would certainly be a surprise casting choice, but Hartnett had a huge fan base back in the day so if Marvel took the gamble, it could pay off extremely well. Matthew McConaughey had a huge come back these past two years, so why not fellow rom-com maverick Josh Hartnett?
