5. Jared Leto

Speaking of McConaughey the Academy Award winners co-star Jared Leto has had a pretty good year too, winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in The Dallas Buyers Club. Leto began his career on the TV show My So-Called Life, but rose to fame through a number of supporting film roles. Surprisingly though, the actor made the smooth transition to music with his band 30 Seconds To Mars and this is what propelled his career to new heights prior to the Oscar win. In both his music and his acting choices, Leto has always surprised fans, so it may not be much of a stretch to imagine him taking on a more commercial role in a superhero blockbuster. I'd be surprised if agents haven't already started banging his door down to take on every acting gig going, but landing a recent Oscar winner for X-Men: Apocalypse would certainly raise the game for the sequel in terms of the acting stakes. Leto has the look, the charm and he's from Louisiana so the accent shouldn't be a problem either. Cancel the tours Leto and start training with that bo staff!
