X-Men Apocalypse: 10 Comic Book Mistakes The Film Should Avoid

2. Magneto And Rogue As A Couple

One of the biggest changes in Age Of Apocalypse €“ along with the world being transformed beyond recognition into a future hell-world presided over by a megalomaniac mutant overlord €“ is that Magneto is the leader of the X-Men, not Professor X, which sparked a chain reaction of other major changes. Such as Magneto's romantic life. Namely, he ends up with Rogue. Anna Paquin's character was cut out of the Days Of Future Past movie but the actor's spoken of wishing to return, so long as she gets to kick some ass. In the comics, her dalliance with Magneto stirs up major trouble with long-time suitor Gambit, who will be played by Channing Tatum in the new films. There's some interesting room for drama there (especially when the couple have a kid, and name him Charles), but Magneto and Rogue seems like a totally random match-up, like they picked the names out of a hat. It's not going to happen in the film, either, what with Paquin not appearing and Fassbender's Magneto more entranced with Mystique.
