5. Zendaya Coleman Could Play Storm
The latest round of rumours has put Coleman alongside Alexandra Shipp as the most likely candidates for Storm, suggesting that Bryan Singer is indeed looking to cast relatively unknown (at least in terms of film projects). Fans of the Disney Channel probably won't consider the Shake It Up star and singer unknown, but they're probably not the key demographic for Singer's epic superhero movie anyway. Ironically, she was first choice to play Aaliyah in the same film that Shipp starred in, so clearly Singer is a fan of terrible Lifetime biopics. Would She Work? Genuinely who knows? Though she's mostly known for her association with Disney projects, she's actually a classically trained actor, and cut her teeth with Shakespearean plays, which might be a good indication that she could pull off the majesty of the queen of the clouds.
