One thing the X-Men franchise has distinctly lacked is a great use of motion capture in the mould of Mark Ruffalo's Hulk - and that's something that X-Men: Apocalypse could bring to the table. Apocalypse could look absolutely monstrous if an actor with a large stature is given the motion capture treatment and, with modern technology at Fox's disposal, the effects could be stunning. Of course, it's not as though special effects aren't prevalent in the X-Men franchise - look no further than Mystique's transformations between differing appearances, Wolverine's rapid healing and the Sentinels in X-Men: Days of Future Past - but a hulking villain like Apocalypse could truly bring out the best in modern technology.
