X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Wild Rumours You Need To Know

2. Angel/Archangel Will Appear In The Movie

Going back to Apocalypse's first appearances in the pages of X-Factor in the 1980s, the villain has had very bad blood with Angel. When Warren Worthington III lost his wings, he turned to Apocalypse to get them back and instead he was turned into the Archangel, Death and made a monster with mean metal wings. Worthington never got over it, and the conditioning of the killer always remained. But in X-Men: The Last Stand, Angel is a teenager considerably after the time setting of X-Men: Apocalypse. However, rumours have no need of logic, and following Days Of Future Past everything is up for grabs. There's no reason Angel can't suddenly be older. After all, this is the same franchise that has the Sabertooth from Origins and the Sabertooth from the first X-Men somehow co-existing. Most fans probably wouldn't mind just pretending The Last Stand Angel didn't happen anyway.
