Apocalypse was born En Saba Nur in Ancient Egypt and is widely considered to be the world's first mutant. He's arguably one of the most powerful mutants to ever live, with a power set that includes super strength, immortality, nigh invulnerability, psionic powers, and the power to control every molecule of his body. It takes a special crew to take on a foe of that sort, and with a long life, who is to say what influence Apocalypse has had over the course of history. The movie is rumoured to explore the origin of mutants and Apocalypse's origin himself, as is appropriate considering the title and the few swirling stories regarding the character's use in the movie. This would be an amazing way to weave a narrative throughout the movie and use a number of storylines and characters from throughout the X-Men mythos. However, it would be important to note that if they do tell a story across multiple time periods, the filmmakers should be very careful not to duplicate what fans have already seen in Days Of Future Past - that would get stale quickly. Either way if any of these rumours pan out to be true, there appears to be a great amount of fan service in store with X-Men: Apocalypse. What are your personal predictions for X-Men: Apocalypse?
