X-Men: Apocalypse - 12 Big Questions That Still Need Answering

6. Will Bolivar Trask Return?

FoxFoxWith his fate all but certain at the end of Days Of Future Past, it seems his coffin has been nailed shut. After his Sentinel program was canceled by the government, he was later found guilty of exposing their secrets - leading to prison time. But as things have a tendency to do in the realm of the fantastical, there€™s a chance he€™ll resurface. His role in the Age Of Apocalypse storyline is rather a mixed bag. A member of the Human High Council, sort of like a comic book version of UKIP, Trask and his wife Moira (yes, in this timeline Trask marries Moira MacTaggert!) continue to champion the ideal of a planet for humans - both major proponents for a mutant holocaust. As repugnant a notion as that is, though not massively surprising, the couple and the HHC also rally against Apocalypse. In fact, the couple design a new series of stronger Sentinels, created for the sole purpose of defeating Apocalypse. It could be a stretch to have Trask back in the thick of it as an ally of the X-Men. Considering his motivations aren€™t entirely pure, his inclusion could foster a fair deal of tension by becoming one of those €œis he or isn€™t he?€ villains. It€™s not out of the question; actor Peter Dinklage who played him in DoFP has expressed an interest in re-appearing in another X-flick.
