5. How Will They Work Around The Death Of Practically Every Major Character In Age Of Apocalypse?

MarvelThe ending of the Age Of Apocalypse storyline is on the bleak end of the spectrum, but hey, with a title like that, its what youd come to expect. Hugh Jackmans publicly stated his desire to shoot Apocalypse and Wolverine 3 back-to-back (to minimise his punishing training regimen and presumably the strain on his veins) - hinting that his character will survive, but if were to consider the leniency with which Singer treated the events of The Last Stand - erasing them entirely - its not out of the realms of possibility for any of the characters comic fates to be rectified onscreen. And theres no chance a PG-13 movie, which itll probably be, would contain the agonising deaths of Xavier, Shadowcat, Iceman, Colossus, Jean Grey (after weve only just got her back!) and Cyclops. No matter how earth-shatteringly bonkers itd be - theres no chance the studio would back such a dark ending. Itd devastate the established fan base, alienate youngsters and... well, itd probably make comic fans ecstatic on the grounds that it sticks rigidly to its source material. Unless... they went and did a Twilight on it and staged a gigantic final battle sequence including the deaths of all those characters - only for it to be a futuristic vision. Perhaps if new mutant Destiny is included?
