We already know from the news of Josh Brolin's casting as Thanos that the actor will only lend his voice to the character, and that should perhaps be the approach that Fox take with casting the villain of the piece. It's unlikely we will see the same actor play the character as was presented in the post-credits scene in Days Of Future Past, and we really need a casting that reflects the villain's almighty power and the threat he poses to the X-Men, and to humanity. That means a physically powerful figure, and they don't come much larger or much more impressive than Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, the hulking actor who brought the latest version of The Mountain to life in Game Of Thrones. While he may not be the correct choice for the vocals - perhaps that should go to someone like the excellent Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Bjornsson would be a fantastic physical presence for the role, and Apocalypse would be a genuinely dominant force.
