2. Logan Lerman - Cyclops
The X-Men under James McAvoy's Professor X are now missing a tactically minded leader on the ground. Yes, Nicholas Hoult's Beast is basically Xavier's right-hand man, but he is no leader, and the introduction of new members of the mutant team, including Gambit presumably in some way, will require a captain-like figure to emerge. We've already seen a Wolverine-lead X-Men arc, and perhaps it's time to cast a strong enough, likeable enough lead to make Cyclops as important in the films as he was in the comics. Lerman might not be X-Men fans' first choice, considering some of his past form, but he has proved himself a bankable enough lead in the Percy Jackson movies, and his more recent work has suggested he's capable of transcending genres. And if he is as good in Fury as we can only hope, he's likely to see an uplift in his profile that would cement the reasoning behind the casting.
