8. The "Old Cast" Members Who Should Be Included

The word from within the production is that some of the original X-Men cast will unquestionably be included in Apocalypse, which inevitably is an intriguing prospect, given the questions it opens up. It seems likely that Blink (Fan Bingbing) will return, since she's signed up to a five picture deal (unless Fox are setting her up as a member of X-Force or something alternative), and you would have to suspect that Bishop would be the most likely of her new team-mated to jump back in time, given his association with time travel. But what of the original cast? James Marsden has expressed a desire to return, but Singer has to be careful not to simply retread the same ground as Days Of Future Past, so it's more likely a core representation of the original team would be present. And that's only if they can come up with a means to satisfactorily facilitate the time travel aspect. Presumably, they'll rely on the fact that Apocalypse is basically a God, and can do pretty much what he wants. So maybe we'll see another book-ended format that focuses on the old cast and then has the villain travel back to the '80s to a point where mutantkind was at its perceived weakest. And that would mean a return for everyone initially.
