X-Men: Apocalypse - 14 Things You Need To Know

6. This Will Be Hugh Jackman's Last Non Spin-Off X-Men Outing (Probably)

He's said it time and time again, but there's reason to believe Hugh Jackman may actually be serious about quitting as Wolverine this time. For one thing, the role is enormously physically demanding - Jesus, just look at him - and a man of 46 can't be expected to retain the title of Most Ripped Human On Earth forever. Wolverine's also such a crowd-pleaser that he's popping up in every X-Men movie going (maybe including Deadpool, if Ryan Reynolds gets his way), meaning Jackman is going to find it hard to fit in other jobs now the franchise is kicking things up a notch. Now, Jackman's confirmed his 2017 standalone Wolverine movie will feature his last performance as the character. That doesn't, however, rule out an appearance in Apocalypse, something that's been rumoured from the start. It'll reunite Jackman with Singer - the man he has to thank for his entire career - one last time and allow Wolverine a proper send-off in one final X-Men movie.
