X-Men: Apocalypse - 8 Major New Story Details Revealed
4. Beast Is Still Pretty Much A Werewolf
X-Men: Days of Future Past was a great movie, but it made a major blunder by allowing Hank McCoy to shift between his human and Beast form. It was a creative decision which robbed the moment he ended up being transformed at the end of X-Men: First Class of the impact it had at the time, while also missing the point of one of the most tragic facets of the character's story arc in the comics. Unfortunately, it's now been confirmed that we'll be getting a 50/50 split between Hank and Beast, with Nicholas Hoult reportedly out of makeup in the first half of the movie and then full on Beast in the second. The fact that he'll be in Beast mode for the entire second half of the movie is no bad thing, but the choice to show Hoult's face is an odd one, especially as he's far from a box office draw. Still, his character arc at least sounds interesting, as he takes on a paternal role with the younger X-Men recruits, and unlike Charles, believes the world still needs the X-Men (he's the one responsible for creating not only the team's new costumes, but also the new Blackbird jet, and technology which helps mutants like Cyclops control their powers). It sounds like Beast is getting a new look too as they've once again redesigned the mask Hoult will wear.
