X-Men: Apocalypse - 9 Reasons To Be Excited

5. A Bad Wolverine?

It was recently confirmed that Hugh Jackman's Wolverine would indeed be a part of this movie, and though he does have one more turn in the claws for his next solo flick, this will be his final time playing Logan as part of the X-men team.

This will mark the eighth time Jackman has played this character, and it would be difficult find anyone who would deny he's done a terrific job...  but with his time as Wolverine diminishing,  audiences will be hoping for something they haven't seen before from his final team-based appearance - and they would certainly get that if Logan was to turn against his team-mates.

Singer has confirmed that the emergence of Apocalypse will "test the loyalties" of some of our mutant heroes, and we know the big bad will need to recruit some new horsemen - who better to take up the mantle of War than Wolverine?

Logan has only been a Horseman of Apocalypse in a couple of different alternate realities in the comics, but faithfulness to the source material has never been high on Fox's list of priorities, and making Wolvie the bad guy (at least temporarily)  would be a welcome twist  for the character.
