X-Men: Apocalypse - Everything You Need To Know

2. There Will Be Spin-Offs

Outside of the nuts-and-bolts of who's involved with X-Men: Apocalypse and who isn't, the only other concrete information currently to hand about the upcoming sequel is what's going to follow it. Along with all those younger versions of existing characters, the film will also introduce a new Gambit, ignoring Taylor Kitsch's turn in the first Wolverine movie. Instead Remy LeBeau, with the mutant power of controlling kinetic energy (which he mainly uses to make exploding playing cards to throw at people, for some reason) will be played by Channing Tatum. That's a big name for Apocalypse, and Fox are going to capitalise on it. That same year Gambit gets re-introduced to the viewing public, he's going to get his own solo film, a few scant months after Apocalypse cleans up at the box office. Oh and there's another Wolverine film pencilled in for 2017, so perhaps Logan won't be straying far after all...
