2. Storm Has The Mohawk, Psylocke Has Her Costume
Visually, there are a lot of other interesting moments in this trailer as well. Most of the lead characters are shown for a brief second, though no doubt one reveal which is really going to make fans happy is the fact that Storm has her Mohawk. That was a signature look for the character in the '80s, and it's recreated here brilliantly.
There also appears to be a moment between Mystique and Nightcrawler (it's hard to say for sure though as these might have been two separate scenes just spliced together as part of this montage), a sign perhaps that X-Men: Apocalypse is going to address the fact that she's his mother. Evan Peters' Quicksilver meanwhile can also be seen speeding through what looks like the underground of the X-Mansion, while Cyclops is spotted wearing his red sunglasses, not that iconic visor...at least not yet.
Like Storm, another cool reveal which is sure to keep fans happy is Psylocke unsheathing one of her swords and there being a purple/pink glow. Her psychic weapons are a signature of the character in the comics, and it looks like this movie will be recreating them fairly accurately. Her suit meanwhile looks like it's come straight from the pages of X-Force!
Unfortunately, there's no sign of any of the X-Men wearing costumes in this trailer, but those worn by Apocalypse's team are a lot more comic book-y than the boring black leather seen in Singer's first couple of X-Men films , so that's hopefully a sign that this movie is going to embrace slightly more colourful looks for the mutant heroes too.
