X-Men: Dark Phoenix WonderCon Footage - 10 Reactions You Need To See

6. It Puts The Trailers To Shame

X-Men: Dark Phoenix Professor X
20th Century Fox

The trailers we've seen for Dark Phoenix so far have been okay at best, with a handful of positive elements being overshadowed by some poor acting, bad dialogue and major plot spoilers.

However, a lot of people have been saying that this new footage is much better than the trailers. If this is to be believed, then the movie might be suffering from a case of bad marketing, and the shots and scenes used in the trailers might just be the bad bits of an otherwise good film.

This wouldn't be unusual, as we've seen bad marketing for great superhero movies in the past - even in the X-Men franchise. Who could forget First Class' awful character posters, or some of Batman Begins' atrocious TV spots.

Marketing doesn't always paint an accurate picture of the movie-watching experience, so even if you think Dark Phoenix's trailers look garbage, it's important to go in with an open mind.
