X-Men Days Of Future Past: 20 Big Questions That Still Need Answers

15. How Wolverine-Centric Is The Film?

One of the main criticisms of the X-Men films has been its focus on Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. He'a arguably been the most prevalent character in the franchise and has received two solo films with a third in the works. Even if you love Jackman as the character, it sometimes feels like overkill. With Wolverine being the one sent back in time instead of Kitty, it appears he will be hogging screen time again. However, it's been said the younger Xavier will be the protagonist of the film and trailers suggest that this may be true. Young Xavier appears to have lost his idealism, and in the future the older Xavier tells Wolverine he was a very different man when he younger. Wolverine will have to convince him of the eventual future, meaning the younger incarnation will have to step up (so to speak) and become the man we know him to be to change the future. So ideally Wolverine will be a significant player but the not the main focus of the film.

14. What Will Bishop's Role Be?

Bishop was part of a mutant police force called the Xavier's Security Enforcers in a dystopian future much like the one in Days of Future Past. His mutant power is that of absorbing energy and redirecting it against others, and while chasing a fugitive Bishop gets sent back in time and joins the X-Men. Bishop doesn't play a role in the original Days of Future Past storyline since he was created after the story's publication, but he will appear in the film (played by Omar Sy). Since Bishop is from the future in the comics and the film concerns time travel, it can be assumed it'll play a part in his role. A recent promo picture for the film has Bishop lying down while Kitty has her hands on the side of his head, suggesting that Kitty sends him back in time at some point in the film. Some have suggested Bishops's time travel is in relation to the upcoming X-Force (a team more violent than the regular X-Men) film.
