X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 5 Biggest Questions Posed By The New Trailer

1. Is Professor X Really Speaking To Himself?

Days Of Future Past 2 The image that stood out for us the most here at WhatCulture after watching the Days of Future Past trailer was the inclusion of a shot in which future Charles Xavier sits face to face with past Charles Xavier and neither one seems all that pleased to see the other version. This whole idea throws up all manner of questions, but in particular: if Xavier can time travel himself then why on earth does he need to send Wolverine back in his place at the beginning? That is unless the shot is shown out of sequence and Xavier has already been back in time and met up with his former-self and as such has no desire to meet up with his miserable, scruffy haired younger self again? Also... what about the space-time continuum? Why would Xavier risk coming into contact with himself knowing what such a thing could do to the present? Is anyone else's brain broken right now? Many of you will argue (correctly) that this is most likely a Cerebo-based moment in which the two Professor Xs communicate telepathically with one another, but it still doesn't explain why there would be any need for time travel if this were possible all along. Hopefully, Bryan Singer will make it clear by the time the film roles into cinemas in May 2014. Like this article? Let us know in the comments section below.
