X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 5 New Mutants You Need To Know
3. Warpath
First Appearance: New Mutants #16 (June 1984) Played By: Boo Boo Stewart Native American James Proudstar went the route of villainy despite his older brother, John (aka Thunderbird), being one of the original members of Professor Xavier's second team of X-Men. When John died during one of his early missions with the X-Men, James swore revenge against Xavier's team, taking up his brother's mantle and joining the villainous Emma Frost's Hellions. James eventually saw the error of his ways after a failed attack on the X-Men and realised that Professor Xavier and his students weren't to blame for John's death. Eventually, James joined the Cable-led X-Force as Warpath only to rejoin Cyclops' wetworks-version of the faction years later. Aside from being a key member of both iterations of X-Force, Warpath (who has also operated under the codename Proudstar) is also well-known for being romantically-linked to former teammate Siryn and most recently to Hepzibah. Mutation: Warpath (in the comics) stands at 7'2" and weighs 350 lbs. while possessing enhanced superhuman strength, invulnerability, agility, and flight. His mutation also allows his body to regenerate and heal faster than humans, and he also recovers from fatigue quicker.
