First Appearance: Uncanny X-Men #282 (November 1991) Played By: Omar Sy Lucas Bishop was born 80 years into the future and raised in a mutant concentration camp following the deaths of his parents. Branded with an "M" over his right eye to signify him being a mutant, Bishop and his sister Shard were raised by an adoptive grandmother who told them stories of legends from her time known as The X-Men. Bishop learned more of these stories from a man named LeBeau (aka Witness) who took him in also, with LeBeau claiming that he was the last person to see The X-Men alive. Becoming a commander for the XSE (Xavier Security Enforcers), Bishop followed his arch-nemesis Trevor Fitzroy into the past to The X-Men's present timeline, becoming the ally one of his childhood heroes before ultimately joining the team in an effort to help avoid the existence of his own dystopian timeline. Lately, Bishop has become an antagonist for The X-Men, killing Professor Xavier before traversing various timestreams in order to annihilate fellow time-traveler Cable and the mutant messiah, Hope Summers. Mutation: Bishop has the ability to absorb physical, magical, and psionic energy and to release absorbed energy into biokinetic energy or use it to help increase his strength and/or invulnerability. It's also been hinted that he is also aware of the time, date, and place in which he is residing. Are you looking forward to seeing X-Men: Days Of Future Past?
