X-Men Movies: 15 Moments That Pissed Off Every Fan

15. Creepily De-Aged Xavier & Magneto - X-Men: The Last Stand

The opening flashback sequence in X-Men: The Last Stand used pioneering yet nevertheless creepy de-aging technology to make Professor Xavier and Magneto look 20 years younger, results which were rather unconvincing and more distracting than had Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen just been covered in light makeup instead. The two resembled plastic mannequins rather than actual people, their skin overly smoothed out to the point that it just didn't seem right compared to what they actually looked like two decades prior. The effect was (for some reason) re-used for Xavier in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and again, was more creepily off-the-mark than anything.
