X-Men Movies: 15 Moments That Pissed Off Every Fan

14. Michael Fassbender's Accent - X-Men: First Class

X-Men: First Class got a lot of things right, but one of the more noticeable slip-ups was Michael Fassbender's performance as a younger Magneto. While he brought the requisite intensity and did a great job on the whole, he was clearly struggling to suppress his native Irish accent, which kept leaking into a large number of scenes. Probably the most egregious example of Fassbender's accent slip occurs near the end of the movie, when Xavier asks him, "You ready for this?" and he replies, "Let's find out", in an unmistakable Irish twang. It's pretty appalling that director Matthew Vaughn didn't call for another take, but at least Fassbender was aware enough of the issue that he managed to completely fix it for Days of Future Past, apparently by listening to recordings of Ian McKellen while preparing for the movie.
