X-Men Movies: 15 Moments That Pissed Off Every Fan
12. January Jones As Emma Frost - X-Men: First Class
There's one spot of casting in First Class that sticks out like a sore thumb, and that's January Jones as the villainous Emma Frost. Frost is a totally bada** character in the comics...who is reduced to a wooden fembot in First Class because Jones' stiff performance reduces her to little more than eye candy. The turn was infamously criticised by Lost creator Damon Lindelof, who Tweeted of Jones' performance, "Emma Frosts THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting." For many, her robotic work confirmed what many Mad Men viewers suspected, that she was great as that show's easy-to-loathe housewife, but if you want anything more from her, she's simply not going to deliver. It's widely expected that Jones is the reason why the character didn't return for Days of Future Past and was instead killed off-screen, which given the potential for the character is a damn shame.
