X-Men Apocalypse: 13 Reasons It's A Huge Disappointment

10. New Characters Are Massively Under-Used

Where to begin? The movie goes to such lengths to introduce a litany of new characters, but a large chunk of them end up with piecemeal roles that don't do the solid performers justice.

Psylocke is introduced into the movie early but her character pre-Apocalypse is barely explored at all (unlike the other Horsemen), and by the time she shows up in the final battle, you might've actually forgotten she was in the film.

Nightcrawler is basically just comic relief and mostly hangs out in the background despite having one of the group's more useful powers (which he rarely uses), Storm has a solid introduction but barely does anything except stand around until the final set-piece, the same is basically true of Archangel, and Jubilee has maybe three minutes of screen time at most.

Considering the absurd potential of these characters and the actors playing them, what a shame it is that their screen presence is so drastically dialed back.
