X-Men: Apocalypse - Every Character Ranked From Worst To Best
8. Cyclops
The manner of Cyclops' emotional break-down is a little manipulated, since it's obvious his brother is going to be killed off (and their relationship isn't all that well played anyway), but that's not to say that Tye Sheridan doesn't do well introducing the future X-Men leader.
He's a completely different animal to the one in Singer's original films: he's more rebellious, more rough around the edges and more comfortable on the edges rather than leading as a moral example.
His chemistry with Sophie Turner's Jean Grey is also very believable, which will be important, and you do get something of an arc from his vulnerable beginnings through to him stepping up in the field. He's by no means the finished article here, but it's a good start.
