8. Kelly Marie Tran Is Star Wars: Episode VIII's "New Lead"
As was revealed by our own Alex Leadbeater, John Boyega may have accidentally let slip a gigantic spoiler for Star Wars: Episode VIII, as at a recent screening for a documentary featurette about The Force Awakens, he referred to Episode VIII's new cast member Kelly Marie Tran as a "new lead".
This is particularly interesting considering that the movie has a pretty firm trio of new heroes in Rey, Finn and Poe, not to mention Kylo Ren on the villainous side and a stacked supporting roster, so does it really need another lead actor to join the fray?
Nothing is known about Tran's part, though it looks like the movie's ensemble has just added a huge new character, and it should make Tran, whose IMDB credits are fairly scant to date, into an overnight star once the movie approaches release.
