If you were online yesterday, you no doubt noticed that the first trailer which was released for Zack Snyder's Justice League was in black and white. Over the past couple of years, the director has teased the "Snyder Cut" on Vero with colourless images, and it turns out there's a good reason for that.

"How awesome it is in all of its monochrome glory," the director said of the trailer yesterday. "For a long time the movie lived with me in what I would call on my computer. And it was the way I watched the movie for two years or whatever, in black and white. Actually, it was black and white that I had to sort of create myself. So it wasn't as rich as this."

"And I look forward to colouring the entire movie professionally in a really rich and beautiful monochrome and being able to do all the little tricks, printing tricks that I love. So we'll see that, I feel like as we develop this, it'll even be even more custom. So that's exciting."

There's not a chance that Warner Bros. will allow the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League to hit HBO Max in black and white, because that's not going to appeal to casual viewers. The director, however, clearly has hopes to share his monochrome version of the movie in the not too distant future.
