10 "Confirmed" 2018 Video Game Leaks That Were Total Bull

2. Alien: Blackout

Even with a supposed leak on Reddit detailing the entire game and its features occurring so close to the Video Game Awards, the event came and went without anything. Big projects leaking days before a big event almost always followed by official confirmations, so this was something of an exception to the standard.

Blackout, rumoured to be a PvP focused multiplayer game, seemed like a promising (and somewhat overdue) continuation of the Alien franchise in gaming following 2014's excellent Alien: Isolation. However, outside of the Reddit post, there hasn't been much that would indicate whether Blackout is legitimate or not.

The official Alien Instagram page appears to be teasing something, but it's not clear if it'll be a graphic novel series or even another movie instalment. The gaming rumour mill continues to stir too with new details stating that Blackout is a next-gen title. Nothing but uncertainty surrounds Blackout as there's nothing yet that even confirms it's a real thing in development. In the meantime, franchise fans can replay (or try out) Alien: Isolation, as it is the definitive Alien experience.
