Oh Rocksteady, why did you have to hurt the gaming community so badly?
Throughout the entirety of this year, there was intense speculation that the Arkham developer was hard at work on redefining another iconic DC hero within the gaming industry and it would've been a match made in heaven.
Superman's past video game offerings have been infamously bad, so it seemed perfect that they'd help make the definitive Man of Steel experience. It was expected to be revealed at E3, Gamescom, and even The Gaming Awards, but it never appeared. Not until Rocksteady finally felt the need to respond did fans get an answer, and it wasn't the one they wanted. Studio head Sefton Hill confirmed they're hard at work on a new game, but alas, it was not one based on Supes.
Hearts were broken across the web, with some even clinging to hope that they were simply lying to keep it a secret. Sadly, gamers just may have to accept that there's no Superman Simulator on the horizon.
Then again, why are gamers complaining? There's always Superman 64, right? Right?
