10 Actors Who Should Be In The Witcher TV Series

5. Conleth Hill As Sigismund Djikstra

Witcher TV Quadtych
HBO/ CD Projekt Red

Perhaps this one is a bit obvious. Sigismund Djikstra is the most accomplished spy in the Witcher novels, an unparalleled schemer with lofty ambitions that he is completely capable of achieving. His relationship with one-time lover Philippa Eilhart is extremely compelling, as the two of them run a whole kingdom together at one point. As both a spymaster and politician, there are few characters as strategically savvy as Djikstra in the book series.

Conleth Hill is an extremely talented performer on the stage as well as the screen, so his casting here would be almost too perfect. His performance as Varys in Game of Thrones shows he can be a cold and distant manipulator, but his roles on stage as Macbeth and George in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf show that he can also bring full-blooded passion to his roles as well. He's a talented enough actor that Sigismund Djikstra would not just be Varys 2.0.
