10 Actors Who Should Be In The Witcher TV Series

4. Paul Bettany As Dandelion

Anyone who has seen A Knight's Tale likely won't need any explanation for this casting, but here goes. No actor is as good at capturing the soul of a desperate artist than Paul Bettany. His portrayal of Geoffrey Chaucer in A Knight's Tale is delightful and easily one of the most memorable parts of that film. The only downside is he may have gotten too expensive for a TV series at this point.

Dandelion, the hapless poet and womanizer, is an extremely tempting role for any actor that can really commit to it. His constant pattern of chasing women and writing ballads about Geralt make for hilarious hijinks, but in spite of all that, he's a genuinely talented poet and a great friend to the Witcher. This sincerity hidden within a shallow outward appearance is something Paul Bettany is uniquely suited to play. And giving him more opportunities to wax poetic like he did as Chaucer is something everyone can appreciate.
