Castles n' Coasters

Upon first glance, Castles n' Coasters is not an arcade, it's an amusement park. While that's certainly true, within this large attraction in Phoenix, Arizona sits an impressive arcade featuring far more classic arcade cabinets than you might expect to find in a place rife with roller coasters, cotton candy, mini golf, go-karts, and screaming children.

The arcade at Castles n' Coasters is no joke. The site hosts a 10,000-square-foot arcade across three levels. The games within are almost entirely from the '80s Golden Age, but there are also some newer fare for the more adventurous retro gamer.

For anyone who clicked on this article because they need somewhere to indulge their arcade passion, Castles n' Coasters is the perfect place. While the kids are off playing any of the site's many other attractions, you can often find some older 'kids' playing the games that made their childhood great.

While many of the games are classic, the site works via a card redemption system similar to most modern arcades. No need to pack hundreds of quarters in your pockets to have fun in this place; it's all digital these days.
