Most museums prohibit visitors from touching the exhibits, but the National Videogame Museum in Frisco, Texas wholeheartedly encourages it! Granted, not everything on display is open for the public to use, but the items which are open for public use make this stop a particularly entertaining arcade for any enthusiast to visit.

Not only does the museum feature a vast arcade devoted to the best of the 1980s in cabinet gaming, there is also a gigantic "home" version of Pong players can play against one another. There's even an homage to the '80s family game room where players can plop down on a couch and relive the glory days of home play.

Additional exhibits delve into the various developments made in the arcade and video game industry over a period of more than 30 years. Visitors can check out the way gaming developed from the earliest stages and into the popular home console and PC markets.

Almost all of the exhibits are interactive and visitors are encouraged to play. Getting into the museum only costs about $12 bucks, which means anyone who stops by can get a whole day of gaming on classic cabinets for a relatively small price... and also enjoy learning about the industry while they are at it.
