10 Amazing Games You Didn't Realise Aged HORRIBLY
6. Devil May Cry
Devil May Cry is one of the most celebrated character action franchises of all time, and all paths trace back to the original 2001 PS2 game, which to this very day is often ranked among the greatest games of all time.
But hoo boy, just try playing it today.
Even when experienced as part of 2012's DMC HD Collection, the original Devil May Cry has aged like mayo left out in the hot summer sun.
As fun as the combat is in theory, it's easy to forget that the earlier games in the series had fixed camera angles, not unlike those in Capcom's Resident Evil franchise.
Being at the mercy of bespoke cameras angles, which often change in the middle of combat and therefore prove massively disorientating, seems completely unhinged in the modern gaming era, and it makes going back to play those earlier DmC titles - especially the first - a real chore.
A full-fat remake, which updates the camera and controls to the standards of Devil May Cry 5, would be a huge treat for fans who can't quite stomach going back to the O.G. title in its current state.
