5. Using Basketballs As Weapons - Shaq Fu
Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most recognisable sports personalities in the world and he even had a video game based on himself.
Titled Shaq Fu, it released all the way back in 1994 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It was later ported to the Sega Game Gear, Nintendo Game Boy and Commodore Amiga.
The game was far from a success and it is questionable if it should ever have been created, but the fact it was is amazing in its own right.
It plays like Mortal Kombat and other fighting games, but with a twist unique to Shaq. While some fighters might wield shurikens and other such ninja-like weapons, the (now) former professional athlete hilariously throws around a series of basketballs in between his variety of melee combos.
This is incredibly funny to see for the first time because it is so unexpected, even if in retrospect it seems like a smart design choice.
