10 Amazing Moments From The Worst Video Games

6. The Soundtrack - Charlie And The Chocolate Factory

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a classic, feel good film adored by the masses. Its video game counterpart however, is not. It was - at the time - a modern day failure that somehow managed to make the source material look bad. Really bad.

Rarely does a movie receive a video game adaptation and the project be a success. The Harry Potter games spring to mind as an outlier, but even some of those were woeful.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was a riddled mess from start to finish and served more as an interactive experience than anything remotely stimulating because even the puzzles were spelled out for player. Leaving aside the questionable choice of mechanics, the graphic were sub par for a game released in 2005.

Still, the accompanying soundtrack managed to deliver where the visuals could not. It matched the tempo, atmosphere and general mood of each area or cutscene perfectly. It is remarkable to see that in a game designed so poorly, the composers could still deliver on a scale that made each section bloom - albeit still rather badly - with the vibrant and colourful mood found in the film.
